பொங்கல் விழா/Pongal Celebration
A Joyous Harvest Festival
Pongal, also known as the "Harvest Festival," is one of the most important and widely celebrated festivals in Tamil Nadu, India. This grand occasion falls annually on the 14th of January and lasts for four days, coinciding with the auspicious period of the sun's transition to the zodiac sign, Capricorn.
At Thalir Thamizh Kalvikoodam, all our Tamil families come together to offer prayers to the Sun God and Pongal is offered as prasad, joyous shouts of "Pongal-o-Pongal!" fill the air with kids' performance, food, dance and fun-filled competitions.

The scorching summer heat could not dampen the enthusiasm and energy displayed at the much-anticipated Summer Annual Sports Day, organised by a devoted team of volunteers and teachers. Held at the sprawling grounds of a Townley Grammar School, the event proved to be a resounding success, leaving both participants and spectators with unforgettable memories.

திருக்குறள் போட்டி/Thirukkural Competition
A treatise par excellence on the art of living.
Thirukkural, a masterpiece of ancient Tamil literature, holds deep wisdom and practical guidance on various aspects of life. Composed by the renowned Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar, across 1,330 couplets, the Thirukkural covers topics from moral values, ethics, governance, love, friendship, family life, and more. Each verse is beautifully crafted and carries timeless relevance even in modern times.
